Redesign of the Industrial and Intellectual Property (IP) Management Service of Galbaian
Initial challenge
This project was born from the need of Galbaian of redesigning its IP management service to address it from a strategy and business point of view.
Exploration
I joined Galbaian’s team, a company in Gipuzkoa that offers IP services to companies, technology centres and universities.
We analysed its service offer and customer experience through interviews. We examined external factors (market, SWOT, etc.) and thus, we defined the working guidelines.
SERVICE CANVAS • CUSTOMER JOURNEY MAP • FIELD RESEARCH • PERSONAS
We do not want to be just patent, industrial design and trademark registrars, we want to offer something else, a service based on strategy.
Ideation & development
I organised and moderated numerous co-creation sessions between Galbaian’s team and two designers of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, where we applied the Design Thinking methodology and the corresponding design tools.
BRAINSTORMING • SERVICE CANVAS • BLUEPRINT
Final result
We designed two programs that encompass the new services that Galbaian will offer, as well as customer experience when receiving them and the necessary touchpoints to offer them.
The Programme
Bidaide
Aimed at companies, technology centres and universities that already have certain IP activity
The Programme
Sokalagun
Directed to startups and small companies with a lower IP activity
Some keypoints of the project
Understanding users
Working on Galbaian's processes, communication and material
Testing and improving the services by means of pilot projects
Applying and spreading the design methodology in Galbaian
